Having grown up in Morocco, this article is very close to my heart and it is with great enthusiasm that I am studying today the Moroccan living room design.

The oriental-inspired decor has long been popular, especially in the living room. We are talking about a subtle and successful marriage between patterns, colors, light, form and function. Everything comes together with finesse to form a decor that is full of character and originality.

Side reasons all, cushions on the walls, can be gilded with ornaments which however must be chosen carefully to avoid an overloaded decor. The colors, meanwhile, want to be bright or soft and often a marriage between the two gives the best results. Light is also very important in a Moroccan design lounge.

It focuses mainly on streetlights and lanterns, often in tinted glass and lighting gives, usually, a subdued and cozy atmosphere to the room. On the furniture side, low furniture, ottomans and a myriad of cushions are the key to a functional décor. Breathe North African air into your interior, you will not regret it!
