When we think of the storage of books, the spontaneous image that comes to our mind is the shelves or the library in the living room. Eventually, we will put some in the office and the bedroom.
There are those who prefer the old-style library, made of solid wood integrated into the wall. It really showcases the books and at the same time dresses the wall. Others prefer shelves placed next to each other or scattered in the housing because one also reads in bed and toilets. Most do-it-yourselfers even make their own shelves with cut and colored wooden planks. It’s simple, it’s pretty and it saves space. All of these options are practical and aesthetic, there is no reason to recommend one over the other. What we want to talk about today is library when it is not only a cabinet storage but also a decorative object. Because we can rethink its place in our house and assign it a less static role. Its forms, geometry and colors can transform it into an art object, as Andrei Saltykov does for example. Take a look at the photos below and get inspired to remodel your book spaces at home.
