Art Deco is a style of elegant and glamorous decoration. It appeared after the Second World War and it was popular during the years 1920-1930.

Art Deco is a blend of luxury, functionality, elegance and modernity resulting in a beautiful and unique decorating style. It combines fashion, jewelry, design and man-made materials such as stainless steel. All this is incorporated into the theme of industrial decoration that prevailed at the time. The well defined lines and elegant design of Art Deco come from the incorporation of architecture and modern style in this style of decoration.

Art Deco furniture and accessories are a combination of modern style and comfort. The wood is lacquered and usually black in color and the upholstery is in leather or velvet. Because of its modern base, the Art Deco style is minimalist with few colors. If there are bright colors, they are in combination with black while the accents are chrome and gold. Sometimes light blue or gray are used to soften the interior design.
