These xerophytes come from different parts of the world: desert plants from the United States and Mexico, the Andes, South Africa, the Sahara, the Arabian Peninsula and even Australia and some islands. These beautiful plants with strange geometry and surprising textures, are distinguished with ease. The patterns to follow for cacti are more or less the same as for seedlings.

If direct light is a good thing, a cactus is not a heat-insensitive plant that can prevail. Use shade to your advantage, for example by installing a shade net. This reduces the light intensity and UV rays that enter the greenhouse. Some cactus or hardy plants require more watering than others.

If you used to store them outside, be aware that under glass, they will not benefit from a drop of water. The cactrium greenhouse is the ideal place to house a cactus collection. This is where these plants will find the conditions of light and warmth they need. And, perhaps, such a space would be livelier if there was a bird cage or a terrarium with a nice little lizard inside. A real cactrium greenhouse, ha?
