Printers are equipment found in almost every modern home; and although they are practical, we often wonder where to put them away. It does not matter if you live in a student studio, if you have a house with several rooms or if you work at home.
The fact is that, thanks to contemporary technologies, you need a printer even for everyday tasks: making copies of photos of a party, printing images of our children or labels to organize your home more easily, not to mention air tickets that can be received online and have a paper version in a few clicks, without unnecessary travel.

Modern printers are small and can be easily placed on a shelf in a library, for example. The types of storage for this item are often chosen based on how it is used. Do you have an office corner at home and need to print documents daily? In this case, you will probably find that open storage is convenient for you. Place your printer on a shelf near an electrical outlet and you’ll start it easily when you need it.

Those who have a home office corner, could still opt for a piece of furniture that can house both their computer and their printer. At the moment, we find a variety of models: starting with the tables of sufficient size for the two objects to finish with libraries with doors, in which we easily hide any mess at the end of the working day .

When choosing your printer furniture, think exactly how you use it. If you tend to start it at least once every two or three days, look for easy-access storage types. With this solution, you would not need to move the printer whenever you need it. If you print more rarely, try a closed piece of furniture. Even if this option has disadvantages, because it requires you to move the printer to connect and to load paper, it is optimal if you do not want this object to be permanently visible. Many modern printers are also equipped with a scanner, which is usually in their upper part and which allows, among other things, to make photocopies. Models of this type should be stored in a cabinet with enough height space for you to benefit from your scanner.

Fans of modern design will appreciate the original solutions, like the one on the picture below, proposed by Heckler Design: they exist in several colors and can be arranged in different ways to register in the space they decorate. Finally, do not forget the do-it-yourselfers: they have the opportunity to make storage or small wooden tables. We have selected an example made with a box of wine that appears on the images in our gallery. So, have you ever decided what is your favorite printer cabinet?
