The colouring pencils are the joy of children and parents, for the little ones it’s a great hobby; and for parents it’s a free babysitting. I invite you, therefore, not to forget wax crayons among your school purchases since the back to school is already on our doors, because they will be the actors in a DIY project that you will surely like.

Now, let’s see how to create art with melted wax crayons. First, you will need a pure white canvas, as soon its virgin surface will be transformed into a DIY artwork. After, take the pack of crayons. Use a pack of 64 if your card is wider. Arrange them over the canvas, so that they touch each other side by side. Paste them once they are organized in the color scheme you desire.

Use a hot glue gun to carefully glue the underside of the pencils with their point down, toward the empty expanse of the canvas. Then plug your hair dryer at high temperature, give each section enough heat until you see the crayons shine and the wax drips downward. Finally, once you are satisfied with the drops, in a few minutes your work should be dry; and crayons in wax should be back in solid form. Hang on your masterpiece and enjoy your new DIY art!
