This object, to which so many memories of our childhood are attached, left the schoolrooms to break into our homes! Who had this crazy idea, one day to invent the blackboard to use in schools?

Well, no, it was not Charlemagne. The blackboard appeared, apparently, around the 11th century. At first, it was not widely used in schools and was only used for music lessons. Replaced by whiteboards in modern schools, black slate has become a decorative object for the interiors of our homes. With its neutral color, it blends with interiors of very different styles, starting with vintage pieces, through industrial design interiors to finish with trendy style spaces.

In addition to being an object that does not occupy much space and can be hung on all walls in your interior, slate is also very practical. In the kitchen, it is used to announce the daily menu or to keep its shopping list up to date; in the nursery or in a corner of the living room, it quickly turns into a play area and drawings for the little ones; in the office corner, it allows us to write notes quickly. So many reasons to buy a slate to decorate one of the rooms in your home!
