Make a lampshade in a glass bottle

The glass bottle is one of those practical objects that are often at home. Instead of throwing it in the trash, it is easily turned into a vase or used to water the plants. Of course, we can also turn it into lampshade. For this you will need to cut it in half and therefore tools. Basic, there are four ways to cut a bottle in half. It can be cut with fire, hot water, string or dremel.

To cut your glass bottle to two, you first have to mark the line where you want it to break. You can use a wheel for this. If you want to carry out the operation with a fire, take a candle and turn it on. Once the broken line is marked with the knob, start heating along the line by constantly rotating the bottle. For this operation, you will need about five minutes. After five minutes, immerse the bottle in cold water. It is possible to have to repeat the entire operation, from the beginning to the end, a few times to succeed in breaking it. Once your bottle is cut, do not forget to sand the edges with sandpaper. Thereafter, you decide how to decorate: painting, stickers, ribbons etc.

Drill a hole in a glass object

The glass of water can also become an elegant shade. You just have to drill a hole in order to pass the cord. Drilling should be done slowly and carefully.
