Christmas is coming and for decorating enthusiasts the question arises as to how to decorate the fireplace this year. There are those who use the decor of the previous year, those who update it a little and those who really want to change everything.

In this article we propose ideas deco Christmas fireplace for everyone. At first it is important to think about the type of fireplace that we have, the space on the edges and the dominant colors. Because a contemporary fireplace does not inspire in the same way as an old, covered with black marble, for example. Then there is the decor itself. Traditionally, two colors are unavoidable – red and green – because they are the colors of Christmas. Green is the color of the Christmas tree and fir branches that we use in the decor. There is nothing more natural than small pots with miniature fir trees, placed on both sides of the edge of the chimney. Red is the color of the ornamentations, often they are balls, ribbons, garlands or candles.

But there are also more original decorations that accentuate the mood of the season by using a dominant color. We can imagine all the variations of snow white, with silvery and golden touches. Again, nothing is forbidden – we mix materials, shapes and colors. Yet there is a rule for all to keep in mind – the deco Christmas fireplace must respect the principle of symmetry on both sides of the chimney.
