Dream Catcher is an object drawn from the culture and folklore of the native peoples of North America. Nowadays, the dream catcher or the dreamcatcher, as the anglophones call it, is very popular. It is one of the trendy women’s tattoos of the moment and chic bohemian style decorations for the home. It can also be seen on mural paintings and on hippie or boho style clothes.

To master the basics of drawing dreams is to know the main elements that make up this object. Let’s see what these elements are right now. A classic dream catcher contains 3 essential components:
- a circle that represents the main part of the drawing;
- a canvas inspired by the spider web placed inside the circle;
- a decoration that almost always contains pearls and feathers.
Good to know: each of these elements has a symbolic importance that is specific to the dream catcher. Thus, the circle is supposed to symbolically illustrate the frame of the drawing; the canvas represents the object that captures the nightmares.
