In addition to the pretty decorative compositions with multicolored leaves placed in a beautiful vase, you have the opportunity to make a wreath or garland with dead leaves. Do you like decorations with floral arrangements? In this case, you can try to make a pretty bouquet of roses with autumn leaves. It is to be used like any other bouquet of flowers, but it will be even more durable! Here’s how to do this type of project, in just a few steps:

Did you know that you can also make a pot of autumn leaves, based on a method similar to that used for decorative paper mache objects? For this project, you will need autumn leaves, an inflated bowl or balloon and some glue. Make your autumn bowl by arranging the collected leaves on the surface of your choice, then sticking them on it to give them a shape. Once dry, your bowl can be used as is. You can also apply a coat of lacquer to make it more resistant. Here’s how to make this original bowl:

In addition to tinkering with dead leaves in autumn, you can easily decorate your home with the fruits of nature. We have already talked about the decoration with fruits of the season, like apples and pumpkins in previous articles. But there are other products of the earth that can easily turn into decorative objects: wheat, corn leaves, fresh herbs. Use dry wheat to make a beautiful centerpiece or to tinker with an aromatic diffuser. For this last project, take one or two bottles of dark colored glass. Pour in some water and essential oil, diluted in a small amount of vodka. Then place the wheat stalks inside the bottle so that they can touch the liquid in it. The scent of the essential oil will penetrate the stem and spread it in the space around it. In the photo below, an example of a presentation of this kind of composition:

If you like decorations with candles, you can also try making your own natural candles. To do this, use beeswax or soy that you melt in a bain-marie. To give your candle an autumnal look, choose a color of the season, such as red or yellow. Also try to flavor your natural candle with a little essential oil. Or still, insert in the wax, still hot, a dried plant or herbs, like lavender or rosemary on the picture below. The candle thus prepared could be placed in a candlestick decorated with autumn leaves, corn or in a small candle jar made of wood.
