As a general rule, all homeowners want this room to be free of unnecessary furniture and tidy. But precisely, how to find a balance between these two requirements? What to do to have enough storage furniture without cluttering the room with cupboards and cabinets?

The end of bed trunk is a clever solution that has the advantage of reconciling these two requirements. From a furniture standpoint in a child’s bedroom or an adult bedroom, this type of storage is practical because it takes up little space. Placed at the end of the bed, it generally seems to be a natural extension. It is for this reason that interior design professionals recommend to buy a piece of bed that is the same color as the bed itself. Thus, we can almost think that this piece of furniture is missing from the room even though it will be there and we can enjoy it.

There are different ways to achieve such a visual effect. On the one hand, betting on a bed end box made using the same materials as those used for making the bed. For example, if you have a dark colored wooden bed, you will opt for one end with the same color, as in the interior layout on the picture below. Another idea is to use the same fabrics and colors for the decoration of the end of bed and for the bedding. This solution gives very good results in a bedroom for adults or in a parental suite. In addition, it is easy to set up: it is enough to have in mind the nuances of the tapestry of the small furniture when one decides those of the blankets for the bed.

The bed end is a very practical piece of furniture because it combines two functions: it offers a storage space and a flat surface that can be used in different ways. On the one hand, it can be used to store various objects: sheets, cushions and blankets in the adult’s room; games and stuffed animals in the nursery. On the other hand, its flat surface easily becomes a kind of small table or seat. All these advantages make the bed end a valuable piece of furniture for every home.
