For furniture with washbasin, this width is often determined by the number of basins: one for the small size, two for the largest. It is therefore important to remember that there is not a single size of bathroom furniture. On the contrary, it can vary depending on the manufacturer and the furniture parts (for example, when a model is custom-made for a space with irregular shapes). It is up to you to measure well the room that you wish to arrange and to do the same with the furniture of your choice.

How to decide if you want to install two basins with a wider piece of furniture? For smaller bathrooms, the answer is simple: if you do not have enough space, limit yourself to a single basin and try to add a column or shallow shelves. For larger bathrooms, base your decision on how you will use the room. The furniture for two basins is often practical for bathrooms contiguous to a bedroom or to a parental suite; on the other hand, it is less used for guest rooms or toilets.
